One of the emphases is that the entire series of events should be held modestly, without excessive luxury.

The commemoration was packaged through sports and local arts performances which were deemed still capable of attracting public attention without having to prioritize luxury.

“The principle is that the excitement of an event does not have to be measured by the amount of money spent, but by the weight of the value it brings,” he said.

Pangandaran DPRD also set two things that should be used as benchmarks for event organization.

First, the activity must be able to drive the community’s economy, especially local business actors.

Second, the agenda must contribute to the sustainable tourism appeal of Pangandaran.

With these benchmarks, every event is expected not to end at momentary crowds.

Money circulation for traders, business opportunities for residents, and impacts on tourist visits must become part of the benefits left behind.
