TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com–Even though no rule was broken, the question of propriety surrounding the appointment of H Asep MP as the Supervisory Board of RSUD dr Soekardjo in Tasikmalaya City will remain a lasting label. Even if the matter is being hushed up, it may continue to be raised in the future as an improper government action.
Government bureaucracy operates through a system governed by regulations that serve as the legal basis for policies. However, alongside formal rules, there are unwritten norms that, though not documented, greatly influence public trust.
Tasikmalaya cultural figure Tatang Pahat explained that the Tasikmalaya City Government and DPRD have acknowledged that the appointment of Asep MP as the RSUD supervisor was an improper act. Yet, this impropriety is being ignored as if it were not an issue, with the excuse that there was no violation of the rules.

“City officials and DPRD admit the issue concerns propriety, confirming that the appointment was inappropriate,” he told Radar on Tuesday (13/10/2026).
Moreover, the relationship between Asep MP and Tasikmalaya Mayor Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan has become common knowledge. This strengthens the perspective that the supervisor’s appointment was an act of political reciprocity, though the method used was too forced. “The mayor was willing to do something improper for Asep MP, which is sad for the dignity of a regional leader,” he said.
This controversy may continue to be ignored by the Tasikmalaya City Government, but it will not erase public opinion about the government’s inappropriate behavior. This will also affect the conduciveness of RSUD dr Soekardjo. “For example, if there is a problem at the hospital or in the city government, the perspective will revert to that, which is understandable given the improper behavior,” he said.
Similar to public perception of Viman’s running activity, although it is not a violation, it has become a subject of ridicule among the community. “It has often been said in public that the mayor can only run; the impact of this supervisor issue will not be far from that,” he explained.
