TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com—The bureaucracy within the Tasikmalaya City Government is far from being in a good condition. The outburst of emotion from Deputy Mayor Diky Candra reveals a disharmony with the officials.
Diky’s anger surfaced while attending an invitation from the Small and Micro Merchants Association (PPKM) at the Dadaha shelter on Wednesday (8/10/2026). He stated that from the start of the arrangement process, he was never consulted or given reports from the relevant agencies, even when issues arose. “I don’t understand why every problem is always left unattended,” he said.
However, if there were any communication, he could have offered insights that might help shape a solution. “Let’s just talk straight, until it’s sorted out,” he remarked.

The problem is that, without any communication, he is forced to confront the public who are raising issues about the arrangement. This makes him feel like a scapegoat or the one who has to clean up. “Suddenly this meeting is happening, let’s move on,” he said.
Therefore, Diky does not want to give many comments about the Dadaha arrangement policy, as he is unaware of the basis and study conducted by the technical agency.
In addition to the Dadaha issue, Diky was also upset with the civil servants’ attitude, as none of the officials were willing to replace him in attending a series of events he had to attend. Especially since at the same time, Diky had a scheduled meeting with central parliament officials in Jakarta to discuss assistance for Tasikmalaya City.“I only have one body but I need to be in two places, it’s understandable if I ask for a substitution, but (the officials) didn’t want to, take note! None of them wanted to,” he said.
Regarding Diky’s non-involvement in the Dadaha arrangement, Tasikmalaya Mayor Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan denied it. According to him, all elements, especially within the Tasikmalaya City Government, are moving together to carry out the arrangement. “Whether he is involved or not, we are all in this together,” he said.
When asked about the planning report and progress of the arrangement that did not reach the deputy mayor, Viman gave an evasive answer. Each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) has its own technical procedures. “As for the technical report on every progress, that’s already there,” he explained. (Rangga Jatnika)
