Thecuy.com, Indramayu – PT Pertamina (Persero) offers an exciting program for 120 motorcyclists joining the Touring to Mandalika. En route to the final destination at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, the group stopped by the Balongan Refinery Unit (RU) in Indramayu, West Java, on Tuesday (6/10/2026).
Motorcyclists who regularly use petroleum products were taken on a close‑up view of crude‑oil processing and fuel‑quality testing performed at Pertamina’s refinery. The Balongan refinery serves as a key supply hub for fuel products to residents of DKI Jakarta, Banten, and western Java, capable of handling 150,000 barrels of oil per day.
Ridho Edistyo Ramadhan, Engineer I of the RCU Complex Process at Balongan RU, accompanied the Touring to Mandalika riders while outlining the refinery’s business operations. “Balongan is the most complex refinery among Pertamina’s Indonesian facilities, scoring a Nelson Complexity Index (NCI) of 11.9, which means it can produce a range of high‑value products, such as Pertamax Turbo,” he said.
Muhammad Baron, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that the Touring to Mandalika riders’ visit to Balongan serves as a public‑education initiative. “Beyond offering the riders a fresh experience, it highlights Pertamina’s commitment to ensuring energy availability for the public and showcases fuel‑quality testing through layered procedures in an internationally accredited laboratory,” he explained.
The stop at Balongan was one of several waypoints for the 120 motorcyclists before they attended the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 in Mandalika on 9‑11 October. Earlier, the riders experienced the use of Pertamina Enduro lubricants and Pertamax Turbo fuel during their departure from Jakarta.
The riders were also scheduled to pass several strategic stops linked to Pertamina’s business network across Java, Bali, and Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. “This tour provides a hands‑on look at the readiness of Pertamina’s products and services along the route to Mandalika. The riders can directly experience the availability of fuel, lubricants, and service support at the various points they traverse,” Baron remarked. He expressed hope that the Touring to Mandalika participants’ experience will serve as tangible proof of Pertamina’s role in sustaining energy availability in Indonesia.
