The light‑novel series The Apothecary Diaries is authored by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino. It is serialized by Shunfunotomo and has been adapted into two manga versions: the first by Itsuki Nanao with art from Nekokurage, and the second created entirely by Minoji Kurata.
J‑Novel Club handles the English release of the novel, and Square Enix publishes the manga adaptations. The story follows Maomao, an aspiring pharmacist who is sold into the emperor’s palace as a minor servant. Rather than obey quietly, she decides to help Jinshi, the handsome palace official.
The property has just unveiled its inaugural live‑action TV series and a brand‑new console game. Meanwhile, Natsu Hyuga’s manga The Failure at God School has been green‑lit for an anime adaptation.
