TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — Usually the one who presents the report card is the teacher, evaluating the student. This time it’s a bit different.

The report card to be opened belongs to Viman Alfarizi, Mayor of Tasikmalaya. The opener is not a school, nor the DPRD, but Nahdlatul Ulama.

The Branch Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) of Tasikmalaya City issued a letter numbered 95/PC.03 A.I.01.03/1109/10/2026, dated 1 October 2026. The letter was addressed to the chair and secretary of the autonomous body (Banom) of NU at the city level of Tasikmalaya.

The agenda title is quite lengthy: Meeting on the Evaluation of the Performance of the Mayor of Tasikmalaya and Preparation for the National Santri Day in 2026.

Two topics on one table: National Santri Day is discussed, and the mayor’s performance is evaluated. The meeting will take place on Saturday, 3 October 2026, starting at 09.30 WIB until finished. The venue is the Office of PCNU Kota Tasikmalaya, Jalan Dr. Sukarjo No. 47.

The letter was signed by the Chairperson of PCNU Kota Tasikmalaya, KH Dudu Rohman, S.Ag., M.Si., and the Secretary, H. Abun Sulaeman, S.Ag.

Its distribution list is significant: it includes PBNU, PWNU West Java, and Rais Syuriyah PCNU Kota Tasikmalaya.

Consequently, this is not just an ordinary coffee invitation. There is an agenda that is intended to be discussed.

An interesting term in the letter is a phrase that is most easily noticed: “Evaluation of the performance of the Mayor of Tasikmalaya.” Not merely “silaturahmi.” Not just “preparation for Santri Day.” Evaluation.

This term is noteworthy because the government itself has a system for evaluating development performance through indicators and planning documents.

For instance, in the 2026 RKPD of Tasikmalaya City, the achievement of key regional performance indicators is also evaluated against development targets.

But this time, the evaluation is not only carried out by the bureaucratic machinery. There is a religious community organization that wants to view it from their perspective.

That’s why the meeting this Saturday morning will be interesting. Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan, Mayor of Tasikmalaya, is certainly not the first person to be evaluated.

Every regional head essentially has a report card: there are political promises, work programs, development targets, public services, the city budget, citizen complaints, and realities on the ground.

That report card is not always in the form of numbers. Sometimes it takes the shape of smooth roads, sometimes of roads still full of potholes, sometimes of service queues, sometimes of citizens’ smiles, and sometimes of complaints that never end.
