TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The controversy surrounding the 5th City Consultative Meeting (Mukota) of the Tasikmalaya City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) remains unresolved.

Following the election forum for the Chairman of the Tasikmalaya City KADIN, the issue is no longer just about who occupies the chair, but rather how that seat was contested.

Asep Saepuloh’s faction, who serves as the Acting Chairman of Tasikmalaya City KADIN for the 2021-2026 term, demands that the entire process of Mukota V be reviewed and aligned with the Basic Statutes/Regulations (AD/ART) and KADIN organizational rules.

Deni Rosyidin, a member of the Tasikmalaya City KADIN Board of Directors, delivered these observations while speaking on behalf of the Acting Chairman of Tasikmalaya City KADIN, Asep Saepuloh.

Deni believes that the Mukota V issue should not be limited to the election outcome.

Instead, he said, the procedures prior to and during the forum should be transparently disclosed to avoid any doubts about the organization’s legitimacy.

“Tasikmalaya City KADIN must revert to its organizational rules. All Mukota stages must have clear foundations, from committee formation, invitations, forum agenda, to the election process,” said Deni on Monday evening (28/9/2026).

One of the concerns is the forum’s agenda scheduled for September 12, 2026, at the Grand Metro Hotel.

Deni highlighted the nature of the invitation, which was initially presented as a goodwill gathering but later transformed into a Mukota forum with an agenda to elect the Chairman of Tasikmalaya City KADIN.

He believes that any change in the agenda must have a clear organizational basis.

“What we question is how an invitation initially presented as a goodwill gathering turned into a Mukota forum during its implementation. The basis and mechanism for this change must be explained,” he clarified.

Deni believes that if the forum was intended to be a Mukota from the start, all parties should have been notified and followed the applicable organizational procedures.

Conversely, if the invitation initially was a goodwill gathering that later turned into an organizational forum with an election agenda, the reason for this change must also be explained.

“If it was a Mukota from the beginning, there should be appropriate mechanisms and notifications. However, if the invitation was a goodwill gathering and later the forum became a Mukota, what is the basis for the agenda change? This needs to be clarified,” Deni said.
