TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – A solo accident occurred in the Gentong area, precisely in Kampung Cibahayu, Kadipaten District, Tasikmalaya Regency, on Friday morning (25/9/2026).
A truck transporting bondek material collided with a shop building, causing the helper to be thrown to the riverbed.
The incident took place at around 08.00 WIB. The Mitsubishi truck with police number B 9561 PDB was traveling from the West (Malangbong) heading towards the East (Ciawi).

The Head of Traffic Enforcement at Tasikmalaya City Police, Ipda Devi Budi Radiansyah, confirmed the solo accident.
“Regarding the timeline, there was a solo accident in the Gentong area. The report came in at 08:00 and the truck hit the front of a house,” Devi told Radar.
He said there were two victims who were currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Tasikmalaya City. Both were the homeowner and the truck’s helper.

“The cause of the accident has not yet been determined and we are currently carrying out the vehicle towing process. Everything is still under our investigation,” Devi added.
This accident serves as another reminder that roads with contours and traffic characteristics like those in the Gentong area leave little room for error.
