Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has unveiled a fresh promotional illustration to mark the third anniversary of the anime’s debut in September 2023. The news was shared at a dedicated Season 2 screening attended by the principal voice actors.
Alongside the new visual, the official account noted that Season 3, covering the Golden Land Arc, will be televised in roughly one year. Season 3 is scheduled for an October 2027 premiere.
The celebratory artwork depicts Frieren, Stark, and Fern enjoying a “ridiculously huge hamburger,” with the original Hero Party mirrored in the window behind them. You can view it below.
The manga Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is penned by Kanehito Yamada with art by Tsukasa Abe. It has been appearing in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday manga magazine since April 2020. The series can be read on Sunday Webry, Viz Media, and the Shogakukan Comic website, and the anime is streamed by Crunchyroll.
Studio MADHOUSE oversees the anime production. The inaugural season was helmed by Keiichiro Saito, and the second by Tomoya Kitagawa. Tomohiro Suzuki served as series composer. Reiko Nagasawa designed the characters, with chief animation direction by Yuri Fujinaka, Reiko Nagasawa, and Maru Takase. Evan Call created the music.
