TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com — Alumni from various generations of SMAN 1 Cikatomas gathered for a sarasehan (meeting) and a silaturahmi (social gathering) of the IKA SMANCIKA at RM Saung Gunung Djati on Friday (25/9/2026). The event served as a deliberation to elect a new chairman, a role entrusted to Dr. H. Ajang Ramdani, S.Pd., M.Pd.
For four decades, SMAN 1 Cikatomas has graduated thousands of alumni who are now spread across many regions and are serving in diverse fields. Differences in generation, profession, and life experiences are once again united under a single bond: the alma mater.
The enthusiasm was palpable during the Sarasehan and Silaturahmi of the SMAN 1 Cikatomas Alumni Association (IKA SMANCIKA), held at the Saung Gunung Djati Restaurant on Friday, September 25, 2026. Alumni representatives from various generations attended, ranging from the first graduating class of 1986 to the 40th graduating class of 2026.

The gathering was more than just a reunion. The sarasehan served as a crucial moment to reinforce consolidation, leadership renewal, and the continuity of the IKA SMANCIKA organization in addressing evolving developments and the increasingly diverse needs of its alumni.
With the theme “Weaving Silaturahmi, Strengthening Alumni Synergy for a More Progressive SMAN 1 Cikatomas,” the forum became a platform for alumni to converge their ideas, experiences, networks, and potentials dispersed across various sectors.
A family-like atmosphere was felt from the start of the event. Alumni from diverse generations mingled without barriers of age or graduating class. Those who had left school decades ago sat alongside the newest graduates of SMAN 1 Cikatomas.
Some arrived as academics, entrepreneurs, civil servants, professionals, private sector workers, and others from various professional backgrounds. Yet within the forum, professional titles were momentarily set aside. They were reunited as part of the SMAN 1 Cikatomas extended family.
Through deliberations held in a familial atmosphere, the alumni agreed upon regeneration and strengthening of the IKA SMANCIKA management for the 2026–2029 term. The outcome of the deliberation appointed Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Aripin, IPU ASEAN Eng, an alumnus from the class of 1988 who currently serves as Rector of Universitas Siliwangi (UNSIL) for the term 2026–2030, as Chairman of the IKA SMANCIKA Alumni Advisory Board.
Meanwhile, the leadership baton for the Chairman of IKA SMANCIKA for the 2026–2029 term was entrusted to Dr. Ajang Ramdani, S.Pd., M.Pd., an alumnus from the class of 2007 who works as an entrepreneur and also lectures at Universitas Islam Tasikmalaya.
