Neoshoco’s Phantom Busters manga is officially getting a TV anime adaptation in 2027, as announced by the official X account on September 24. The announcement was previously teased with a graphic and the scheduled time, set for 18:00 JST. Neoshoco commented:

I think Phantom Busters is the kind of series whose fun will stand out even more when animated, so as the author, I’m truly happy that it has become a reality!

Phantom Busters is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Neoshoco. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square since August 2023, while VIZ Media began publishing the English version in October 2025. The manga has surpassed 1.4 million copies in circulation, including digital editions. Volume 8 is scheduled for release in Japan on October 2.
VIZ summarizes the plot:
Searching for a fourth club member, Mogari, Eugene, and newcomer Kaoru Kanzaki focus on Kotaro Tamon, a classmate who can talk to ghosts. The problem is, Kotaro has a hard time communicating with living people! Can Kotaro overcome his anxiety and join the Phantom Busters?
