TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com–The Dadaha revitalization is officially ongoing, although it is currently undergoing an evaluation phase. However, this process lacks a coordinating leader, as the team leader position remains vacant following Asep MP’s retirement.
In the initial stage of the revitalization, the relevant Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) was quite active. From the head of the revitalization team who was then led by H Asep MP, officials of the Department of Transportation, Satpol PP to the UPTD Manager of Dadaha Complex frequently monitored and discussed the Dadaha revitalization process.
At that time, the members of the revitalization team courageously closed Dadaha Street and ‘removed’ the street vendors (PKL) from the jogging track area. The traders were promised new accommodation.

Currently, the revitalization effort has not shown any progress; the closure of Dadaha Street remains uncertain. Additionally, the street vendors are demanding that the revitalization team fulfill its promise of providing new accommodation, which still lacks certainty.
In the midst of this situation, a number of officials from the Department of Transportation, Satpol PP, and Disporabudpar refused to be interviewed. This is because from the beginning, the team agreed that any explanation would be given through a single source, the team leader. The problem is, the team currently does not have a new chairman.
Regarding the vacancy of the team leader or the revitalization task force, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Tasikmalaya City, H Asep Goparullah, remained silent. After being contacted several times for confirmation, the PNS commander chose not to respond.
There is information that the team leader position will be entrusted to the Acting Assistant 1 Ade Hendar. However, when confirmed, he could not comment because he had not received any official instruction. “There is no Decree (regarding the team leader position),” he said.
Previously, the activist of the Anti-Corruption Community Movement (Pemantik), Iwan Supriyadi, assessed that the Dadaha revitalization was highly anticipated by the public. His side also hopes that the government can complete the work thoroughly. “I think everyone also hopes for a better condition of Dadaha,” said the man who is familiarly called Iwok to Radar, Sunday (20/9/2026).
Iwok believes that everyone certainly has different thoughts, ideas, and mentalities. Therefore, this change is quite risky, as it could affect the revitalization’s progress. “Different people can very likely bring different things, whether positive or negative,” he explained.
