Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 has unveiled the cover art for its second Blu-ray installment, slated for a Japanese debut on January 20, 2027.
The fresh illustration was crafted by the series’ original character designer, Shirotaka, and will appear on the three‑sided outer packaging of the first‑press limited edition. Blu-ray Volume 2 (vol. 2) will bundle episodes 8 through 14 onto a single disc. Retail price: ¥17,600 tax‑included, roughly $115 USD.
Rudeus appears on the cover in both his present and future selves. You can view it underneath.
The limited run also ships with a fresh digipak designed by the anime’s character artist Sanae Shimada and a 52‑page special booklet. Inside, readers will find a brand‑new short story from the creator Rifujin na Magonote, episode summaries, background lore, plus interviews with the production team and voice actors.
Both limited and standard editions include extra video content: an opening theme without credits and a series of promotional commercials.
Key production members were disclosed earlier and consist of:
- Director: Ryosuke Shibuya
- Character Design: Sanae Shimada, Ryota Furukawa
- Music: Yoshiaki Fujisawa
- Studio: Studio Bind
Season 3 opened with volume 14. Seven Seas summarizes the plot:
A party including Nanahoshi and Rudeus sets out for Perugius’s enigmatic sky island, hoping to discover a rare magical secret. Instead, tragedy strikes when a companion falls ill with a lethal disease. How far will Rudeus go to rescue his precious friend?
The season’s key visual can also be viewed.
The series adapts a light novel written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. Seven Seas releases the novel in English.
A companion game, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Chronicle of Echoes, is scheduled for release this year. It operates as a free‑to‑play title with optional in‑game purchases, created by ASOBIMO.
