TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – A powerful blast shook the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) Bunga Bangsa Bojonggambir 1 located in Kampung Ciawi, Bojonggambir Village, Bojonggambir District, Tasikmalaya Regency, on Thursday (3/9/2026) around 01.30 WIB.
The incident left three SPPG volunteers with burns. Two of them sustained severe burns, while the remaining one suffered minor burns.
The Bojonggambir Police Chief of Tasikmalaya Regency Police, Iptu Agus Sukmana, confirmed the incident.

“Confirmed, an explosion occurred at the kitchen of SPPG Bunga Bangsa Bojonggambir 1. Three victims, who are volunteers, were involved in the incident,” said Iptu Agus Sukmana.
The three victims were identified as volunteers on duty at SPPG Bunga Bangsa Bojonggambir 1: Rohmat Nurhikmat, Abdullah, and Dwi Kartika Sari.
Among the three victims, Rohmat Nurhikmat and Abdullah suffered severe burns. Meanwhile, Dwi Kartika Sari sustained light burns.
“Rohmat Nurhikmat and Abdullah suffered severe burns, while Dwi Kartika Sari had minor burns,” Agus said.
After the incident, the three victims were immediately evacuated to Bojonggambir Health Center for medical treatment.
Due to the severity of their injuries, Rohmat Nurhikmat and Abdullah were transferred to SMC Tasikmalaya Hospital. Meanwhile, Dwi Kartika Sari continues to receive treatment at Bojonggambir Health Center.
Early police investigations indicate that the explosion occurred during cooking activities in the SPPG kitchen. At the time, Rohmat and Abdullah were near the gas cylinder storage area connected to a steamer.

Meanwhile, the steamer was still operating. Police believe that a flame from the steamer ignited the leaked gas that had spread, causing the explosion.
Dwi Kartika Sari, who was in the corridor during the incident, was also caught in the blaze.
