TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The installation of a portal at the entrance to the PC PGRI Secretariat Office in Cisayong District by the Mekarwangi Village Government has drawn objections from PGRI members. The teachers’ professional organization considers the portal’s installation to have been carried out unilaterally and plans to take the matter to legal proceedings.
The Chairman of PC PGRI Cisayong, Deded Ruhimat, SPd, said that his side considered the installation of a portal at the gate or entrance leading to the secretariat office of PGRI Cisayong District to be an action carried out unilaterally.
“The action was considered not to reflect the attitude of a village government official who should be a role model for the community,” he said when confirmed on Friday (4/9/2026).

According to Deded, the installation of the portal has caused discomfort among teachers and PGRI members. He considered the action to demonstrate an arrogant attitude and disregard for the principles of a rule of law.
“The action demonstrates an arrogant attitude and an ambitious behaviour, forgetting that this country is a state based on law that must be obeyed by all citizens,” he said.
Deded emphasized that the issue was not only about physical access to the teachers’ professional organization secretariat. According to him, the installation of the portal also affected the organization’s dignity and the psychological condition of the teachers.
“As a result of that action, teachers clearly feel terrorized, intimidated, pressured, and humiliated. The dignity of PGRI has been undermined by this unpleasant act,” he said.
Based on that, the board and members of PC PGRI Cisayong are now preparing legal steps. They plan to report the portal installation issue to the police in the near future.
“As board members and affiliates, we plan to take legal action by reporting the action to the Tasikmalaya City Police in the near future,” he asserted.
Despite the objection, Deded assured that PGRI would not take independent action by dismantling or opening the portal. His side chose to leave the portal installed as part of the facts that could be used in the legal process if a report were truly pursued.

“PGRI does not have the authority to open the portal. PGRI will leave the portal as it is and use it as legal evidence,” he said.
