Until Dawn 2, a popular interactive horror game sequel, has been officially announced to launch on PlayStation 5 on January 28, 2027. Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Firesprite also confirmed that pre-orders will begin on September 10, 2026.
In this game, players will follow a ghost-hunting group called Dead True as they chase a major story. Their adventure turns into a nightmare after an investigation at Blackwood Sanitorium ends with a supernatural event.
A meeting with Yoona, a survivor of a supernatural attack, then leads Dead True to Akishima Island. The isolated island has been abandoned for decades and holds secrets far older than they could imagine.
Player Choices Shape Until Dawn 2’s Story
Just like the previous Until Dawn concept, player decisions are a crucial part of Until Dawn 2. Every choice can affect the story progression and determine who manages to survive until the end.
One scenario featured is when players must choose between following a signal to search for a missing friend or taking another route to find important clues. This simple decision can lead to different consequences throughout the game.
Players will also face more extreme choices, including deciding whether to obey an order to make a sacrifice or find another way to solve the problem.
With a branching narrative concept and multiple possible endings, Until Dawn 2 once again offers a horror experience heavily dependent on player decisions. Every action has the potential to alter the course of the story and determine which characters survive.
The horror game Until Dawn 2 will be available exclusively for PS5 starting January 28, 2027, while pre-orders open on September 10, 2026.
