Police Chief of Tasikmalaya City, AKBP Andik Eko Siswanto, stated that during the meeting they discussed the current situation, focusing on how all parties can work together to maintain the stability of Tasikmalaya City.
“We discussed what we talked about earlier, focusing on the current situation and how we can all work together to keep Tasikmalaya stable, safe, and peaceful. That’s the main point,” said Andik Eko Siswanto.
He believes that maintaining security and order is not solely the responsibility of law enforcement officers.
A safe region requires support and collaboration from various community elements, including religious leaders and Islamic educational institutions.
The meeting with the Chairman of the MUI of Tasikmalaya City served as an early opportunity to establish communication.

He said that MUI and the pesantren community also need to understand each other’s job descriptions so that cooperation is not overlapping but mutually reinforcing.
