HoYoverse has just launched Nodusfall, a fresh co‑op action title crafted for an original fantasy realm that draws on many mythic cultures. The title debuted at the Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live on 25 August, accompanied by its debut trailer.
In contrast to the anime‑look used for games like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, Nodusfall adopts a more lifelike visual approach. The setting features beings and ideas lifted from diverse mythic backgrounds, from Eastern‑inspired beasts to Western dragons. HoYoverse notes that further areas will bring unique ecosystems, societies and backstories as players advance.
The narrative unfolds when the divine power crumbled and enigmatic beings called the Dreadnodi arrived, sowing ruin across the land and even infecting its mythic beasts. Participants become Weavers, supernatural beings linked to the divine, whose mission is to battle the blight, cut the Dreadnodi off at its source and bring back balance. Team fighting forms the core of the experience. Gamers create squads to confront massive legendary foes, with battles built around collaboration and on‑the‑fly tactics. Heroes can be customized through varied Styles and Skill combos, letting groups tweak their loadouts based on duties and the specific adversary.
HoYoverse hasn’t revealed a launch window or which systems Nodusfall will be available on.
