Umayuru Full Gate! Umamusume’s Next ONA Premieres in September

Umayuru Full Gate! will serve as the next anime entry in the Umamusume: Pretty Derby series. A three‑minute ONA version is slated to launch on the franchise’s YouTube channel this September. Cygames has unveiled a new visual and announced AtoriE as the animation studio, though no further details on the production team have been disclosed. The debut will feature subtitles in English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese, and the original voice actors will return.

Scooter Films produced the original 24‑episode Umayuru ONA and its 4‑episode sequel Umayuru: Pretty Gray. AtoriE, a newcomer studio, will handle upcoming short‑form adaptations of I’m Dating a Dark Summoner and Ghost Meets Gal! short-form anime.

Cygames, Inc. first announced the Umamusume: Pretty Derby mobile game back in 2016. The Japanese launch, originally set for 2018, was postponed and finally arrived in February 2021. An international release followed in June 2025, making the title one of the company’s most profitable releases. Since then, the franchise has been expanded into multiple manga series, light novels, anime, OVAs, ONAs, and a theatrical film.

The game and the series have earned such strong praise that they are widely recognized for sparking a worldwide revival of interest in horse racing.

Umayuru Full Gate! spotlights humanized versions of actual racehorses as they vie to claim victory in the elite Twinkle Series.
