Logistik Assistance Delivered Using Various Aircraft Types

Starting Monday, August 17, 2026, TNI-AU has been operating six transport aircraft comprising two C-130J Super Hercules, one C-130 Hercules, one Airbus A400M, and two Boeing 737. These aircraft have carried dozens of tons of assistance to key locations such as Labuan Bajo and Maumere.

In addition to logistic supplies, TNI-AU has also deployed a medical team led by the Commander of the Health Battalion of Denmabesau, Lieutenant Colonel of Health Dr. Ahmad Hendra. The team is equipped with various medical tools and medicines to support healthcare services for the earthquake-affected population.

The medical team will serve at the disaster site until the area becomes safe again, providing continuous medical care throughout the emergency response period.

The Head of Public Relations of TNI-AU, Major General TNI I Nyoman Suadnyana, stressed that the transport aircraft fleet and medical team will remain on standby as long as assistance is still needed on the ground. The fleet’s operation is not limited to a single delivery but continues until the affected communities have fully recovered.

This initiative is part of TNI-AU’s tangible contribution to humanitarian missions, especially in aiding the recovery of communities impacted by the earthquake in Flores, NTT.

Disaster Context and National Response

The earthquake that struck Flores, NTT, caused damage and urgent needs across multiple sectors, such as food, health, and infrastructure. The central government, through various agencies including TNI-AU and BNPB, has mobilized resources to expedite the recovery process.
