Thecuy.com, Nusa Tenggara Timur – Polri delivered 3,500 food packages and 17.5 tons of rice to residents affected by the earthquake on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara. The aid was prepared and packed at the Bulog Warehouse in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, ready for immediate distribution to those in need.

The aid dispatched included 3,500 rice sacks totaling approximately 17,500 kilograms, 3,500 liters of cooking oil, 3,500 food packages, and 500 children’s toys. Each food package contained five packs of instant noodles, one bottle of soy sauce, one box of tea, one kilogram of granulated sugar, and one box of biscuits. The assistance will be distributed to affected areas ranging from Manggarai Regency to Sikka Regency.
Additional Kitchen Equipment Aid
In addition to food packages and rice, kitchen equipment such as eating spoons, pots, pans, and vegetable ladles was also provided as aid, donated by the West Manggarai Police Chief, AKBP Christian Kadang, to support the needs of the affected community.
Coordination and Distribution Monitoring
The Chief of the Water and Air Police Corps, Inspector General Raden Firdaus Kurniawan Ferry, stated that the Police continue to monitor and ensure that the aid is ready for distribution. The distribution of assistance is carried out in stages and adjusted to the needs of each region to ensure it reaches the right targets. The Police also coordinate with relevant parties to ensure that the distribution process proceeds safely and smoothly.
