My Hero Academia Creator Kohei Horikoshi and Yuki Kaji React to Shoto Todoroki’s Six-Finger Illustration Ahead of New Figure Release

The author of My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi, posted a fresh illustration that spotlights a forthcoming collectible figure inspired by the color artwork released just before the manga concluded.

“The color title page from before the final chapter is being turned directly into figures! Amazing!” Kohei Horikoshi captioned the artwork, which shows Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki.

Fans observed an additional finger on Todoroki’s raised hand in Kohei Horikoshi’s sketch, making it six fingers. The creator later addressed the slip in a subsequent post, stating “Ah, it’s true, Todoroki’s fingers! Amazing!”

Voice actor Yuki Kaji, the Japanese talent behind Shoto Todoroki, added a playful comment to the discussion:
“I can unleash more fire than usual! Yay!”

The posted illustration advertises collectible figures that replicate Kohei Horikoshi’s pre‑finale color page art. The six‑finger quirk appears only in the creator’s fresh drawing and will not be included in the official figure.

Kohei Horikoshi serialized My Hero Academia in Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 through August 2024. The series wrapped up last year after a decade, accompanied by many illustrations and farewell messages.

The anime version first aired in April 2016 and has grown into one of the most popular modern shonen series globally. Its finale, Episode 170, aired on December 13, 2025. Additionally, a special short focusing on Eri was released on July 3.

Kohei Horikoshi recently made a comeback in the publication with a 61‑page horror one‑shot called Quit Laughing, Shijima, his first standalone story since My Hero Academia concluded.
