Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 has unveiled a fresh trailer and promotional art before its scheduled October 2026 debut. The continuation was teased shortly after the Season 1 wrap‑up in December 2022. HIDIVE had earlier declared it will host the series exclusively when it arrives in Fall 2026.
Studio C2C is coming back to produce Season 2, with Shinji Ishihira steering the direction, Takahiro Nagano overseeing the overall story, and Atsuki Saito designing the characters.

Yu Tanaka pens the original light novel series titled Reincarnated as a Sword. The story first appeared on the Shosetsuka ni Naro platform in October 2015, illustrated by LLO, and GC Novels began releasing it as a printed novel in 2016.
Tomowo Maruyama’s manga adaptation continues to be serialized, and a side story titled Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Wish by Hinako Inoue launched in June 2020. Seven Seas Entertainment has secured rights to the light novel, the primary manga, and the spin‑off, summarizing the plot as follows:
After a 30‑year‑old office worker and gaming fan perishes in a car crash, he awakens in a magical realm as a sword. He now hunts for a graceful wielder, and a feline‑headed girl called Fran could be the ideal companion for his quests.
