The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 has unveiled a fresh trailer and promotional illustration, together with a premiere set for October 2, 2026. This will set the stage for the forthcoming film, slated to launch in Japan on December 11 with a brand‑new tale penned by Natsu Hyuuga. The second half of Season 3 is slated for April 2027.
The fresh trailer showcases the theme song “Kumo wo Nuke Kazashimo e Watashi Dake” performed by Yorushika. OLM will again oversee the animation work, whereas TOHO animation STUDIO does not appear in the staff roster.
Reina Ueda has entered the cast as Bai Niangniang, a cryptic “immortal maiden” who has lately sparked speculation. The fresh trailer is available to watch beneath.

Natsu Hyuga pens the The Apothecary Diaries light novel series, illustrated by Toko Shino. It is serialized by Shunfunotomo. There are two manga versions: one scripted by Itsuki Nanao and drawn by Nekokurage, and another penned and illustrated by Minoji Kurata.
J-Novel Club releases the novel in English, whereas Square Enix handles the manga edition. The plot centers on Maomao, a youthful alchemist sold into the emperor’s court as a menial attendant. Unwilling to submit, she assists Jinshi, the handsome palace functionary.
