Sparks of Tomorrow has unveiled a fresh trailer just before the upcoming story arc kicks off. Episode 7, slated for August 16, will mark the beginning, and Yoshihisa Kawahara has been added to the roster as Stewart Smith, a pivotal character set to feature prominently in the forthcoming episodes.
Episode 7 goes by the name “Elopement”. In the new storyline, Kihachi and Inako set off for Shiga, hoping to recover the lost second half of the 20th‑Century Electricity Catalog rumored to be there. Produced by Kyoto Animation, the series streams exclusively on Netflix. Minoru Ota directs the TV anime, while Tatsuhiko Urahata handles the scripts. Voice talents include Yuma Uchida as Kihachi Sakamoto and Sora Amamiya as Inako Momokawa.

──Long ago, in an alternate early‑20th‑century Kyoto, the city advanced only through steam, cloaked in haze. There, a boy, grieving the loss of his brother with whom he imagined the “Age of Electricity,” now walks with mistrust.
Beside him, a girl hides her hopes for the future and sorrow for her mother, living a pious life. When they converge, they hunt for the hidden “20th‑Century Electrical Catalog” that embodied their aspirations, urging them to transcend their present selves and shatter past dreams.
