Samuel Sattin and illustrator tokitokoro have launched their fresh manga series titled LYNX as part of VIZ Originals, with the debut issue hitting stores on August 11.
Labeled a neo‑tech mystery thriller, LYNX centers on the bio‑augmented sleuth Lynx Takuma as she patrols New Borealis, a remaining safe haven after a worldwide climate catastrophe. The writing is handled by Sattin—known for UNICO: AWAKENING and the Eisner‑nominated Buzzing—while the Tokyo‑based creator tokitokoro provides the illustrations.

Sattin earned a 2024 Eisner Award nomination for Buzzing. He also pens the UNICO series alongside the Japanese art duo Gurihiru, bringing Osamu Tezuka’s unfinished saga to life. His additional works comprise A Kid’s Guide to Anime & Manga and The Essential Anime Guide.
Based in Tokyo, tokitokoro works as a manga artist and illustrator. Their first standalone story, For a Good Man, appeared in Shonen Jump+, and recent projects include Nothing Butt Nightwing for DC Comics and Jeff the Land Shark for Marvel.
