Aito Aoyagi’s fairy‑tale mystery novel series Little Red Riding Hood Meets a Corpse on Her Journey (Akazukin, Tabi no Tochu de Shitai to Deau.) will be adapted into a TV anime in 2027. A teaser visual and trailer have been released, showcasing the first cast and staff.
Yume Miyamoto will voice Little Red Riding Hood, while Akira Sekine portrays Pinocchio. The teaser visual displays the English title Red Riding Hood: A Detective Story and showcases the two characters. You can view it below.
The series blends familiar fairy‑tale settings with mystery storytelling. It centers on Little Red Riding Hood as she travels and confronts various crimes and mysteries in the fairy‑tale realm, seeking to reveal the truth. The teaser trailer depicts her interrogating a culprit whose ill‑conceived plan is exposed.
The animation will be produced by Studio BENTEN Film, which has recently been acquired by the AI animation company Creator’s X. The principal staff members are:
