TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – A traffic accident occurred on Jalan Raya Timur Singaparna, specifically in Kampung Rujak Gedang, Cipakat Village, Singaparna District, Tasikmalaya Regency, on Saturday (8/8/2026) at around 12.30 WIB. A 4‑year‑old child died after being thrown from a motorcycle that was hit from behind by a car.
The victim, Abidzar Abdul Mugni (4), was riding as a passenger on his grandfather’s motorcycle, a Honda Vario with police number Z 3879 KE, at the time of the incident.

He said that at the time of the incident, a Toyota Starlet car with police number D 1073 OG, driven by RRN (17), was traveling from Singaparna towards Cintaraja.
He clarified, “When at the scene, the car collided with the rear of a Honda Vario motorcycle with police number Z 3879 KE driven by Emir Rosidin.”
Thus, the impact came from the rear. The road was straight, paved with asphalt, and the weather was clear. Both vehicles were in good operating condition.
He explained, “The collision caused the motorcyclist to sustain injuries. Meanwhile, Abidzar, who was riding as a passenger, was thrown by the impact and later died despite medical treatment.”

After the accident, the Traffic Police officers of Tasikmalaya secured both involved vehicles for investigation purposes.
