Shueisha has unveiled MANGA MILLION, a fresh digital manga portal providing complimentary access to almost 400 series across over 100 languages in honor of the company’s centennial. The offering is globally reachable for a brief period and does not mandate user sign‑ups or registration.
This effort releases roughly one million pages of manga, marking Shueisha’s most extensive translation endeavor yet. The initial catalog features top‑tier series like ONE PIECE, NARUTO, BLEACH, Demon Slayer, JUJUTSU KAISEN, Chainsaw Man, SPY x FAMILY, Kingdom, Reborn!, Yu Yu Hakusho, OSHI NO KO, Nana, and Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You.
Shueisha reports that almost 300 titles are being translated for the first time, while around 50 works have been rendered into several languages. The collection also contains extra chapters and standalone stories, among them Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back.
The service accommodates languages such as English, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, Turkish, Korean, Polish, Tagalog, and many more. In an upcoming interview with Anime Corner, Shueisha’s Editor‑in‑Chief Shuhei Hosono, who runs MANGA Plus, stated that artificial intelligence was not employed for the translations.
The venture was assembled across Shueisha’s editorial units, merging shonen, shojo, seinen, and assorted categories onto one site. Global licensing allies contributed to the massive translation work. Over 150 of the titles presented are shojo manga.
Shueisha’s President and Representative Director, Hideaki Hayashi, indicated the goal is to forge fresh bonds between manga creators and audiences worldwide while the firm commemorates its 100th anniversary.

Japanese manga has thrived thanks to the dedication of countless artists and the loyal readership, becoming a worldwide cultural hit. MANGA MILLION exists because of these creators’ support, and as Shueisha marks its centennial we aim to forge fresh reader ties, showcase manga’s depth and variety, and motivate the next generation of storytellers.
MANGA Plus by Shueisha Editor-in-Chief Shuhei Hosono, who initiated the project, said the idea began with the goal of translating one million pages into 100 languages while helping reduce language barriers that still limit access to manga in many regions.
The idea started from a simple query: could we celebrate Shueisha’s 100th birthday by translating a million pages into 100 languages? While shaping the plan we also realized it could break down the language walls that still block many global fans. We envision MANGA MILLION—a first‑of‑its‑kind translation drive covering 100 tongues and a million pages—will ignite fresh encounters and links between readers and Japanese manga.
MANGA MILLION went live on August 6, accessible worldwide for a short window via its official site. Joining is free and no sign‑up is needed.
