GARUT, Thecuy.com – A Mitsubishi Colt Diesel truck was involved in a single-vehicle traffic accident on the Garut–Tasikmalaya Highway, precisely in Kampung Cisaat, Sukatani Village, Cilawu District, Garut Regency, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at approximately 06.00 WIB.
APPD Cilawu Chief, AKP Hasan Sadikin, said that upon receiving a report of the incident, Cilawu Police personnel immediately proceeded to the site to manage and secure the crime scene (TKP)
Furthermore, his team also arranged the road because the overturned vehicle was blocking the carriageway, disrupting traffic. “We organized traffic flow to keep it running smoothly,” he stated.
Urging the Pamegatan‑Singajaya road in Garut to become a provincial highway, while the New Market area in Garut will undergo renovation and PKL will be temporarily relocated.
Based on the TKP investigation and witness statements, the Mitsubishi Colt Diesel, driven by Didin Supriadin (40), a resident of Pancatengah District, Tasikmalaya Regency, was traveling northbound from Tasikmalaya toward Garut.
As it navigated a curved and modestly sloping stretch, the vehicle lost traction, leaned rightward, and eventually rolled over onto the center of the road.
No fatalities or injuries resulted from the incident. “The driver was confirmed unharmed and uninjured, while the truck sustained minor damage estimated at roughly Rp300,000,” he said.
Officers on site promptly reorganized traffic, assessed the driver’s condition, gathered witness accounts, and carried out the vehicle’s evacuation.
Additionally, they secured the items involved. ‘We also collected data to pinpoint the precise cause of the crash,’ he explained.
He urged all road users to stay vigilant, especially when passing through routes with curves and uneven surfaces.
Drivers were reminded to match their speed to prevailing road conditions to avoid accidents.

“Safety while driving should be paramount. We advise all motorists to stay alert, keep focus, and verify that their vehicle is in proper condition prior to setting off,” he stated.
