TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com—A large container truck used for delivering online purchases overturned on Jalan Sewaka, Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya City, on Tuesday (6/10/2026). The massive vehicle blocked traffic on the Linggajaya to Cisumur route.
According to Radar’s report, the crash occurred at around 07.00 WIB, surprising residents and drivers when an expedition truck bearing plate number B 9921 UXY overturned. Traffic was immediately blocked because the wreckage was blocking the road sideways.
Upon receiving the report, police officers arrived at the scene and managed traffic. The road segment from Cisumur to Linggajaya was opened for two‑way traffic.

After interviewing witnesses, officers directed the removal of the packages from the overturned container. This was followed by an evacuation process and the vehicle was secured for further investigation.
The head of traffic enforcement at Tasikmalaya City Police, Ipda Devi Budi Radiansyah, explained that the truck was involved in a solo accident with no other vehicles. At the time, the truck was being driven by Cecep, accompanied by his friend Yan Sandi. “It was a single‑vehicle traffic accident,” he said.
Prior to the incident, the truck was traveling from Linggajaya toward Cisumur, passing through a left‑curving section of road. As it navigated the curve, the driver allegedly lost control, swerved left, and collided with the median. “The truck overturned and blocked the road after hitting the median,” he stated.
No fatalities occurred; the driver and his companion were unharmed and exited the truck after the crash. The consequences included material damage to the vehicle and traffic disruptions. “There were no casualties,” he said.
Devi urged drivers to always exercise caution when on the road, whether it was busy or quiet, in order to prevent traffic accidents that could take lives. “Prioritize safety at all times,” he concluded. (Rangga Jatnika)
