TOHO Animation has announced its newest anime venture as an adaptation of Kamome Maruyono’s Dokagui Daisuki Mochizuki-san (styled Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san)—a comedy gourmet manga series.
Yesterday, the project was hinted at with the phrase “food terror is coming,” which is thought to allude to the one‑hour real‑life cooking video released before the announcement.

Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san is a Japanese seinen manga by Kamome Maruyono. It centers on Mikoto Mochizuki, a woman who is fiercely passionate about consuming massive amounts of food. The series launched in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero magazine and on the Young Animal Web site in May 2024 and has since been compiled into tankobon volumes.
The series quickly gained notice for its quirky premise and over‑the‑top portrayal of binge eating. It has been featured in numerous manga rankings and award contests such as the Next Manga Awards, Manga Taisho, the EbookJapan Manga Awards, and Kono Manga ga Sugoi!.
