TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The viral video of Heni Nuraeni on social media has finally reached her neighbor in Kampung Sukahurip, Cilolohan Village, Tanjungjaya District, Tasikmalaya Regency.
Erwin Syah (43), one of Heni’s neighbors who was successfully contacted by radartasik.id, confirmed that Heni is his neighbor. Her parents are still alive but are now elderly. Heni also has an older and a younger sibling who are still awaiting her return.
According to Erwin, Heni left to work as a domestic worker abroad 17 years ago. At that time she was young and unmarried. In the early years of her employment overseas, communication with her family was said to be good. However, after many years, contact has been lost until now.

Erwin admitted to being shocked upon hearing that Heni was detained at her employer’s residence in Saudi Arabia and was unable to communicate with her family, let alone return home. The news spread among residents who had watched the video on social media.
“I never expected to see on social media that Heni was detained by her employer in Saudi Arabia. Residents mostly learned about it from social media; they know that Heni had been out of contact for a long time, and according to her family, she had gone to Saudi Arabia,” said Erwin.
He said that although Heni had long since left Kampung Sukahurip, the residents still remembered her as a friendly and easy‑going person.
“She was cheerful, friendly, close to her friends and the community. So I was surprised to see in the video that her face looked anxious and distressed,” he explained.
Erwin also mentioned that Heni had attended elementary school at SDN Cilolohan and junior high school at SMPN 3 Sukaraja.
“Even my younger sister was shocked and cried when she saw Heni in Saudi Arabia, wanting to return home because she was being held by her employer,” he said.
Until now, Erwin said he has not asked Heni’s family how she had departed; whether she went to Saudi Arabia through official Indonesian government channels or via irregular means. He only hopes that his neighbor can return home safely soon.

“As a neighbor, I hope Heni can return safely to Indonesia. Her family has lost contact and there is no communication. Hopefully the government can bring her back,” he said. (Diki Setiawan)
