TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The dispute over parking services in Tasikmalaya City has uncovered new facts. Amid public scrutiny over the issuance of parking tickets, the Tasikmalaya City Transportation Office (Dishub) admitted that some tickets were printed in 2025.

Head of the UPTD Parking Management of the Tasikmalaya City Dishub, Uen Haeruman, said that the parking tickets currently used in the field are still stocks printed in 2025. This happened because this year’s printing budget has not yet been disbursed.

“Currently, the printing cost has not been disbursed. Therefore, the tickets in use now are still from last year (2025),” Uen told Radar Tasikmalaya on Monday (3/8/2026).

Nevertheless, the service continues to follow applicable regulations. Parking attendants are required to issue tickets to every parking user as proof of payment for the levy.

According to him, the instruction is continuously relayed to third‑party companies so that it is passed on to all parking attendants on site.

“We have kept communicating with third parties to remind the attendants. Every service must provide a ticket to the consumer,” he said.

Uen explained that tickets are printed annually in quantities adjusted to the target parking levy revenue. For 2026, the planned print run is roughly 26,000 tickets with a budget of around Rp56 million.

“Approximately that amount. The printing cost is around Rp56 million,” he said.

This admission adds to the list of challenges in parking management in Tasikmalaya. Previously, many observers had criticized the implementation of a free‑ticket‑less parking policy as being inconsistent in practice.

Tasikmalaya City governance observer Asep M Tamam believes the Transportation Office must have the courage to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the parking management system, including making ticket distribution data public.

“If tickets are printed in certain quantities, make the data public so it can be synchronized with the situation on the ground. Change will not happen without courage,” he said.

Ijang Furqon, Chairman of LPM Tasikmalaya, also considers transparency essential for successful parking management. He believes many residents still pay for parking without receiving a ticket, making it difficult to objectively measure the Local Original Revenue (PAD) target.
