TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The happy smile finally returned to the wrinkled face of Aih (76), a resident of Kampung Babakan Nangerang, Singkup, Purbaratu District, Tasikmalaya City. The bicycle, which had been stolen, has now been recovered by the police.
After nearly a week of sadness due to losing his beloved bicycle, which served as his livelihood, the vehicle was finally found by the police.
The red bicycle that had been accompanying Aih in his daily work was discovered on Jalan Jiwa Besar, Tasikmalaya City, on Thursday (29/7).

When it was found, the bicycle was lying on the side of the road without its owner. Meanwhile, the theft suspect is still under investigation by the police.
Not wanting to delay the happiness of the elderly man, officers from Polsek Tawang and Polsek Cibeureum immediately delivered the bicycle to Mr. Aih’s residence.
The moment was deeply touching. Upon seeing the bicycle, which had long accompanied him, standing again in his yard, Aih could not hold back his emotions. With watery eyes, he repeatedly expressed gratitude.
‘Alhamdulillah, thank you. My bicycle has been found again,’ he said with emotion.
He also confirmed that the bicycle brought by the police was indeed his.
‘It’s true, Dad. This is my bike. It has a label and is red,’ he said while pointing out the bicycle’s characteristics.
Aih also expressed gratitude to the Tasikmalaya City Police Department, especially the officers from Polsek Tawang and Polsek Cibeureum, who helped locate and return his bicycle.
For some, the old bicycle may have little value. However, for Aih, it is a source of livelihood.

At 76 years old, he still routinely pedals dozens of kilometers from his home in Kampung Babakan Nangerang to Tasikmalaya City to earn a living.
The bicycle is not just a means of transportation. Behind the aged iron frame lies the struggle of a head of household who never gives up despite circumstances.
Each pedal stroke is an effort to bring home sustenance and meet daily needs.
A few days earlier, Aih had lost the bicycle while performing Friday prayers in the Lengkong area, near Tasikmalaya Station.
