Dengeki Daioh G publication indicated that the Gabriel Dropout manga will end with its forthcoming chapter.

ASCII Media Works (Kadokawa) launched Umaki’s comedic slice‑of‑life series in December 2013. It debuted on a bimonthly schedule, but starting the next April the release cadence switched to a monthly basis. Kadokawa has compiled the chapters into sixteen volumes, and Yen Press handles the English licensing for Gabriel Dropout.

The series centers on Gabriel “Gab” White Tenma, a promising newcomer among the heavenly angels. After completing angelic school, Gab-chan traveled to Earth to understand humans and guide them toward proper living. Instead of becoming a paragon of virtue, she quickly developed a video‑game addiction and embraced a pseudo‑NEET lifestyle. Although Gab enjoys the relaxed, idle existence, her angelic and even demonic companions frequently criticize her lazy, Kazuma‑like behavior.

Studio Doga Kobo produced an anime adaptation of Gabriel Dropout in 2017, featuring a core voice cast:

Masahiko Ohta served as the series director.

Crunchyroll streams Gabriel Dropout. The Comic Dengeki Daioh G magazine publishes Tapris SugarStep, a side story by Bafako that highlights Tapris from Gabriel Dropout.
