GARUT, Thecuy.com – Persigar Garut initiates player trials for the upcoming Soeratin Cup events targeting the U15 and U17 age groups. The selection process is scheduled from Monday through Wednesday, 27‑29 July 2026.
Persigar coach Asep Angga reported that the enthusiasm of the local youngsters for the trial session was remarkable. A total of 1,266 participants took part in the selection.
Thousands of trial entrants come from across Garut Regency, covering the northern, central, and southern districts. “The selection outcome for each age group has already settled on 30 players,” he stated on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
Encourage the Pamegatan‑Singajaya road in Garut to achieve provincial road status. The New Market area of Garut will be renovated, with petty traders moved temporarily.
According to Angga, the current lineup remains provisional. Promotions and relegations could occur following the training sessions.
He stressed that the tight preparation schedule demands players who are truly match‑ready.
“Given the brief preparation time, it is essential to confirm that the players are fit, in top physical condition, and free from injuries,” he added.
The U15 Soeratin Cup is slated for August 5, 2026, while the U17 edition is set for August 11, 2026.
Regarding the first practice session, he said coordination is still underway for the training venue. “We are currently coordinating with the field manager about the schedule for intensive training,” he concluded. (Agi Sugiana)
