Curious how dangerously crazy the threats to the real world in this film are? Come, let’s analyze the leaked Jumanji Open World trailer below!
For those of you who felt that the ending of Jumanji: The Next Level was a super cliff‑hanger, your prayers have been answered! After waiting for years, Sony Pictures has finally released the first trailer for Jumanji Open World to the public, and its vibe feels completely different from the previous two sequels.
The fourth film, and reportedly the final one, in the modern Jumanji saga is scheduled to hit theaters on Christmas Day, December 25 2026. From the title alone (Open World), we can already guess that the game’s rules will be completely overhauled. Curious how dangerously crazy the threats to the real world in this film are? Come, let’s analyze the leaked Jumanji Open World trailer below!
Jumanji Open World Official Trailer
The Game Breaks Into Reality!
In Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and The Next Level, it was our teenagers who were sucked into the video game console, but this time the rule is reversed 180 degrees. Through the excerpt of the Jumanji Open World trailer, it has been confirmed that the danger from the Jumanji forest is the one that has “leaked” and spilled over into the real world!
This scene was actually teased in the post‑credit scene of the previous film, where a flock of giant ostriches suddenly ran wildly through a city street. In this newest trailer, the scale is far greater and chaotic. You’ll see a rampaging rhino crashing cars, wild monkeys swinging from buildings, and even NPCs (Non‑Playable Characters) from the game wandering through the city. This concept truly brings us back to the nostalgic vibes of the original 1995 Jumanji film (starring Robin Williams)!
The Heroes’ Avatars Reunite!
Of course, this chaos forces Spencer, Martha, Fridge, and Bethany to act again. But how will they manage if the game is outside?
The Jumanji Open World trailer reveals that our beloved avatars (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan) actually appear in the real world too! Wait, how is that possible? Apparently, in order to survive and complete this leaked game, the teenagers have to sync with their avatars in real life.
Imagine the fun of seeing nerdy Spencer having to teach Dr. Smolder Bravestone (The Rock) how to survive using modern city amenities. The dynamics of the avatars’ confusion when facing Earth’s technology will surely tickle your stomach throughout the film!
Special Tribute to Robin Williams
Besides the explosive action scenes and chases of wild animals in a snowy city, there’s a sweet detail caught by eagle‑eyed fans in the Jumanji Open World trailer clip.
Reportedly, director Jake Kasdan deliberately inserted a special easter egg as a tribute to the character Alan Parrish (Robin Williams). Especially since this film brings Jumanji elements back to the real world, it makes sense that Alan Parrish’s legacy will play an important role in helping our heroes save the world from permanent game over.
With its December 2026 release date, the film is guaranteed to be the most anticipated family blockbuster by the end of the year.
