Studio Cabana will see its property adapted into an anime slated for a 2027 premiere. A teaser image has been unveiled together with details on the production staff and cast. JUVENAGE (known for Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods) has been entrusted with animating the series.
Shinichiro Ushijima (UniteUp!) is at the helm as director, while Sawako Hirabayashi (I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History) handles the screenplay. Haruka Sagawa (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4) designs the characters. Sayumi Suzushiro, known for her role as Nijika Ijichi in (Bocchi the Rock!), will voice the protagonist Yukari Maki.
Agri Uma serves as both the writer and artist for the manga, which started its run in June 2021 on Pixiv Comic, hosted on ASCII Media Works’ Pixiv Sylph platform. In celebration of the anime adaptation announcement, Uma has shared a new illustration.
Yen Press will publish the manga in English, presenting it as follows:
Yukari Maki, a high‑school student, values honesty above all and feels she has nothing in common with her delinquent classmate Yusuke Kusaka. Her strict refusal to let him off easy gives her a reputation as a quasi‑guardian, which irritates Yusuke. Nonetheless, despite his annoyance at her supervision, Yukari refuses to let a new gossip about him circulate. After shadowing him home to address the rumor, she sees him stop at a music studio, where she witnesses a side of Yusuke she never imagined…
