Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Series Information
The forthcoming movie and earlier anime series originate from a manga authored by Hiroshi Hiroyama.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya constitutes a derivative work spun off from Type-Moon’s Fate/stay night. The narrative centers on Illyasviel von Einzbern as its principal protagonist and departs significantly from the original Fate/stay night premise. Within this altered setting, Illya von Einzbern and Rin Tohsaka assume the roles of magical girls charged with gathering the “Class Cards” belonging to various heroic spirits.
Kadokawa Shoten’s publication Comp Ace has released all three manga installments created by Hiroyama-sensei. They consist of:
- Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya — The series was released in September 2007 and November 2008, later gathered into two volumes.
- Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei! — The installments appeared in April 2029 and March 2021, culminating in five volumes.
- Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei!! — The series began publishing in May 2012, remains in progress, and totals fourteen volumes.
In the year 2010, Kadokawa issued a special chapter showcasing characters from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. The series is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment in omnibus format. Additionally, Silver Link has produced multiple television anime seasons, cinematic works, and a lighthearted OVA based on the source material.
