Thecuy.com, Jakarta — The nation’s Chief Prosecutor, ST Burhanuddin, officially accepted the resignation letter submitted by Febrie Adriansyah from his post as the Head of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Jampidsus). This decision was made to uphold integrity, objectivity, and neutrality in the administration of justice.
The Attorney General’s Office spokesperson, Anang Supriatna, indicated that his institution respects Febrie’s decision. Anang said on Saturday (11/7/2026): “Kejaksaan Agung menghormati keputusan tersebut dan memastikan seluruh tugas, fungsi, serta penanganan perkara di lingkungan Jaksa Agung Muda Bidang Tindak Pidana Khusus tetap berjalan normal sesuai mekanisme yang berlaku.”
Febrie’s resignation is linked to a legal process currently under investigation by police investigators. Earlier, Febrie’s private residence in Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java, was raided by a joint team from the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Police on Thursday (9/7/2026). During the search, investigators seized 74 kilograms of gold bullion, Rp100 million in cash, foreign currency amounting to 4,767,300 US dollars and 14,083,800 Singapore dollars, in addition to various documents and mobile phones.
Febrie confirmed that the residence belongs to him. Febrie stated during a press conference in the Jampidsus Building, Jakarta, on Friday (10/7/2026): “Tentang rumah Sentul itu memang rumah pribadi Jampidsus yang sudah sejak lama. Itu bisa dilihat bagaimana proses kepemilikan sejak awal.”
The Metro Jaya Police have confirmed that, as of now, no suspects have been named in the investigations concerning alleged corruption, bribery, gratuity, and money laundering. This case forms part of a joint investigation into alleged coal management corruption, suspected malfeasance at PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya from 2020 to 2025, and a possible money‑laundering scheme linked to the settlement of PT CBS’s debt to PT KNI.
The Attorney General’s Office has guaranteed that the investigation and handling of corruption cases will continue uninterrupted. Anang urged all parties to respect the legal process and the principle of the presumption of innocence.
