Kashiko Amane writes and illustrates the source manga. Hakusensha has been publishing it since September 2022, and Yen Press holds the English license, describing the story as follows:
Hizashi Hiruno, a first‑year at an ultra‑elite high school, just received his first academic proficiency test results of the year. He anxiously awaits the scores that will shape his next three years, but a mistake on his answer sheet leads to a terrible grade and sends him to remedial lessons! The only bright side is that he’s not alone—and his classmate might be the girl of his dreams?!
