TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com—Widianto (28), a resident of Sukaasih in Purbaratu subdistrict, was stabbed and admitted to hospital early Sunday morning (25/10/2026). He sustained two serious wounds on his hip and chest.
The incident started when the victim was hanging out with some friends under Ciloseh bridge on North Ring Road (Lingtar), not far from his home. Unexpectedly, what should have been a bonding moment escalated into a quarrel and assault with a sharp weapon.
Widianto said he asked for a joint contribution to buy cigarettes at the time. He admitted that not all those hanging out were people he knew, as some acquaintances had brought friends. “Because one of his friends also brought someone else,” he explained.

He considered sharing costs while hanging out to be normal. Unexpectedly, however, the person he didn’t know well left and brought some friends to the location. “They said I was begging for money (malak), but this was a joint contribution for everyone,” he said.
At that moment, the perpetrator forcibly dragged one of his friends while yelling angrily and attempting to hit him. Widianto tried to defend and pull his friend away. “I almost hit him but he dodged,” he explained.
Shortly thereafter, the perpetrator and his group quickly left the scene. He attempted to chase them, but then he noticed injuries to his waist and chest. “Blood was gushing out like urine, I immediately felt faint,” he said.
Seeing the sharp‑weapon wounds, Widianto was taken by his friends to a hospital for medical treatment. He said the hospital informed him that surgery was required. “There’s fluid in my lung, surgery is needed,” he explained.
Iwan Kuswandi (58), the victim’s father‑in‑law, said his son‑in‑law did not inform the family about what had happened. The victim’s spouse also learned about it that morning from a WhatsApp status of one of his friends. “When we found out, he was already at the hospital,” he said.
