TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – CNY Foundation gave assistance to the fire victims who lost five stilt houses in Kampung Cigupit, Pedangkamulyan Village, Bojonggambir District, Tasikmalaya Regency, on Wednesday (14/10/2026).
During the distribution of the aid, the Gerindra Faction of the Tasikmalaya Regency DPRD urged the regional government to set aside a budget for the acquisition of fire engines in each sub‑district for the year 2027.
Cash aid of Rp 2 million each was handed to five residents whose homes were completely destroyed by fire: Adin (52), Saodah (57), Kosim (44), Saepuloh (56) and Maman Ruhiman (31). Additionally, two other households whose properties were damaged in the blaze received Rp 500 thousand each.

CNY Foundation also supplied school uniforms for children affected by the fire. Further assistance, comprising clothing and rice, was delivered through collaboration with community members who expressed concern for the victims.
The mentor of CNY Foundation, H Cecep Nuryakin SPd MSi, said the assistance was distributed after his team inspected the conditions of residents impacted by the fire. He also praised Radar Tasikmalaya’s reporting that highlighted the incident, thereby raising awareness and compassion for those affected.
“We appreciate that Radar Tasikmalaya reported on the fire. Today, my CNY Foundation colleagues and I visited the fire victims in Pedangkamulyan Village, Bojonggambir,” Cecep remarked.
Cecep admitted that he and his colleagues had gone to the neighbourhood to assess the residents’ well‑being following a blaze that leveled five stilt houses.
“Praise be to God that we could provide aid to five households whose houses were entirely destroyed by fire, plus two other families affected by the blaze,” Cecep said.
Beyond the relief effort, Cecep – also the Gerindra Faction’s Chairman of Commission II in the Tasikmalaya Regency DPRD – argued that the tragedy should prompt the regional government to review its fire‑response capacity, especially the adequacy of equipment and infrastructure.
He noted that limited fire‑truck availability in remote zones might delay emergency response. Consequently, securing fire engines for every sub‑district is seen as essential to speed up interventions and stop fires from engulfing nearby buildings.

“In concrete terms, during the 2027 budget deliberations, the Tasikmalaya Regency administration should earmark funds for acquiring fire trucks across all sub‑districts,” Cecep pressed.
