A rumor is circulating that Sasuke will be portrayed as having feelings for Sakura in the Naruto live-action film.
The Lionsgate live-action Naruto film is said to introduce major changes compared to Masashi Kishimoto’s manga storyline.
One particularly striking alteration involves the dynamics between Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Uchiha.
Sasuke Portrayed as Having Feelings for Sakura in Naruto Live Action

According to rumors from scooper Daniel Richtman, Naruto is said to have no romantic feelings for Sakura.
Instead, Sasuke is rumored to have feelings for Sakura. If true, this change would reverse their relationship dynamics from the manga, where Naruto pursued Sakura while Sakura had affection for Sasuke.
It’s not just about romance; Sakura’s character is also said to be given a stronger role from the start. She reportedly already possesses combat abilities early in the film, unlike the manga version where Sakura’s power develops significantly after training with Tsunade.
Sakura’s family background is also rumored to undergo significant changes.
In the live-action version, Sakura is said to come from a wealthy family. Her father reportedly died during the Nine-Tails’ attack on Konoha, while her mother is depicted as a rich woman with an arrogant personality.
These changes make Sakura’s background in the film quite different from both the manga and anime versions.
Jinchuriki Reportedly Limited to Specific Ancestral Lines

Another equally major change pertains to the concept of Jinchuriki.
In the world of Naruto, a Jinchuriki is someone who houses a Bijuu, a tailed beast sealed within their body. However, the live-action film is said to introduce a rule that not everyone can become a Jinchuriki.
The ability to become a vessel for a Bijuu is reportedly determined by specific ancestral lines. Only those with special blood are considered capable of containing the tailed beast’s power.
This concept is then used to explain why the Nine-Tails, or Kurama, was sealed into Naruto’s body as an infant.
Naruto is said to have inherited a special lineage from his mother. After her death, sealing the Nine-Tails into Naruto’s body became the only way to halt the threat, as Naruto was considered the sole individual capable of housing it.
This concept still has ties to the manga storyline. In the original version, Nine-Tails Jinchurikis were indeed connected to the Uzumaki clan, known for their extraordinary life force and chakra.
However, the Naruto live-action is said to transform this concept into a stricter rule concerning ancestral lineage.
If these rumors are true, Lionsgate seems to be doing more than just a visual adaptation; they are also making several changes to the lore and character relationships to fit the film format.
Nevertheless, all these details remain mere rumors originating from Daniel Richtman and have not been officially confirmed by Lionsgate. Therefore, information about the Naruto-Sakura-Sasuke relationship, Sakura’s background, and the Jinchuriki lineage rule should still be considered unverified.
