PANGANDARAN, Thecuy.com—The residence of Ai Kokom Karningsih, located in Sirnagalih hamlet, Limusgede village, Cimerak district, collapsed on Saturday evening (3/10/2026). As a result, the woman was forced to take shelter and now has no place to live.
The incident occurred in the evening around 10:00 WIB when the structure suddenly gave way. It was not due to extreme weather or other external factors, but rather the building’s deteriorated and uninhabitable construction.
The head of the Taruna Siaga Bencana (Tagana) of Pangandaran Regency, Nana Suryana, confirmed that Ai Kokom lived alone in the house. Although there were no casualties or injuries in the event, the homeowner was compelled to evacuate because her dwelling was severely damaged.

“The occupant lived alone. For the time being, we advise the victim to seek refuge at a relative’s house for safety,” Nana said when contacted on Sunday (4/10/2026).
Tagana officers have visited the site together with local village officials. They have conducted an assessment for further handling. “We also assisted in clearing the debris,” he said.
