Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 unveiled a fresh Rem epilogue visual after the final episode (Episode 19) on September 30, 2026. It served as the eighth episode of the second cour, titled The Recapture Arc.
The anime’s first half swept the Spring 2026 awards with 19 wins and narrowly placed second in the most recent weekly standings following Episode 18. The series is animated by Studio WHITE FOX.
Yusuke Kobayashi, the Japanese voice of Subaru, offered the following comment:
“A huge thank you for staying with us till the very finish!”
Subaru and the crew headed to the Pleiades Watchtower to retrieve what had been taken from them.
Some things were regained, yet others slipped away again.
While the finale might not be one we could fully rejoice in, there’s a single message I’d like to share.
Welcome back.
I’ve missed you terribly.
I’m eager to discuss these emotions as often as possible on radio shows and at events!
Please keep supporting the story as it unfolds further!
Inori Minase, the voice of Rem, also commented:
“We were finally reunited once more.”
To all of you who have kept waiting all along—
naturally, I was among you as well.
After a future forged by never surrendering hope and repeatedly fighting on, I’m absolutely overjoyed that Rem was there waiting for me at the conclusion.
We ought to discuss the future with a grin, yet for the moment I’d like to linger in this lingering feeling a bit longer.
And I genuinely believe we’ll meet again some day!
