TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The Tasikmalaya City Police uncovered multiple criminal cases throughout September 2026. These cases include motor vehicle theft, narcotics distribution, certain hard medicines (OKT), and the enforcement of vehicles fitted with non‑standard exhaust systems.
AKBP Andik Eko Siswanto, Chief of Police of Tasikmalaya City, said that throughout September the force intensified law‑enforcement activities while maintaining public safety and order.
The Traffic Police Unit carried out operations against motorcycles equipped with loud or non‑standard exhaust systems.

“In September, especially through the Traffic Police Unit, we have removed 436 non‑standard or excessively loud exhaust systems,” Andik said.
The exhaust enforcement was not limited to road operations; the Tasikmalaya City Police also partnered with schools to educate and mentor students.
Officers visited several schools within the Tasikmalaya City Police jurisdiction to advise on traffic discipline. If a student’s motorcycle was found with a non‑standard exhaust, the officers enforced the rule and replaced it with a standard one.
According to Andik, this action is part of the police’s effort to foster a traffic‑order culture among young people.
“The program will continue. We are also collaborating with schools to teach students about the importance of traffic discipline,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Tasikmalaya City Police solved 11 criminal reports during September 2026.
Of those, five reports involved methamphetamine evidence, while the remaining six concerned cases with non‑methamphetamine contraband.

From all the investigations, authorities seized various items of evidence, including 140.48 g of methamphetamine, 121 g of synthetic tobacco, 3,690 pieces of certain hard medicines (OKT), and seven ecstasy tablets.
These detections form part of the police’s campaign to curb the distribution of narcotics and illegal drugs within the Tasikmalaya City Police jurisdiction.
In the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim), the police also resolved cases of motor vehicle theft.
