From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Season 3 was confirmed right after the second season’s finale aired.
The second season was green‑lit soon after the first finished and hit screens on July 8. It is currently available on Amazon Prime Video, with Passione and Hayabusa Film returning to produce the animation.

Season 1 of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman was overseen by director Yoshio Kazumi, with Kunihiko Okada handling series composition, Satsuki Hayasaka serving as character designer and chief animation director, and Yasuhari Takanashi providing the soundtrack. The principal voice actors are:
- Hiroaki Hirata plays Beryl Gardinant
- Yuki Hirose portrays Curuni Cruceiel
- Hitomi Ueda voices Surena Lysandra
- Nao Toyama voices Allucia Citrus
- Hinaki Yano portrays Ficelle Harbeller
Shigeru Sagazaki penned the light novel series From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman: My Hotshot Disciples Are All Grown Up Now and They Won’t Leave Me Alone (Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru: Tada no Inaka no Kenjutsu Shihan Datta noni, Taisei Shita Deshitachi ga Ore o Hottekurenai Ken), illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima.
The narrative first appeared in November 2020 on the crowd‑sourced Shosetsuka ni Naro platform. Square Enix noticed it soon after, acquiring the rights in April 2021 and launching its publication via the SQEX Novel imprint. A manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato has been serialized in AKITASHOTEN’s Dokodemo Young Champion since August 2021. The light novel series is licensed for English release by J‑Novel Club, and the manga is being published by Yen Press.
