TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The agricultural plots in the Thematic Tourist Area of Tasikmalaya City (KATASIK) Arrazak, Sukanagara Village, Purbaratu District, are now yielding results. The area’s managers conducted a large pepper harvest supported by PT Pertamina as a partner.
The harvest is more than just an agricultural activity. Land management is also intended to boost the local economy and support the city government’s flagship programs.
Irvan Ripandi, the manager of KATASIK Arrazak, said that pepper cultivation is a concrete way to use the region’s potential to bring economic benefits to the community.

“This harvest is not only about peppers. We want to make a real contribution to the seven priority programs of the Mayor. From our village, we aim to create a resourceful Tasik Pelak and a sustainable Tasik Resik,” said Irfan.
He added that the activity aligns with the Tasik Pelak (Local Economic Development) initiative, which promotes local economic growth, SMEs, creative industries, and job creation.
In addition to its economic value, the pepper farm in KATASIK Arrazak is also intended as an agricultural education space for the community and students, in line with the Tasik Pintar spirit.
Meanwhile, Sukanagara Village Head Hendih Junaedi said that the development of KATASIK Arrazak is a form of community collaboration to maximize the area’s potential.
“We hope that activities like this will continue to grow. It should not only produce agricultural commodities but also serve as a space for community empowerment and education,” said Hendih.
He further noted that the use of productive land also aligns with the Tasik Resik and Tasik Nyaman visions. The managed land can become a productive green space and provide added value for the community.
The seven flagship programs of Tasikmalaya Mayor Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan include Tasik Gemas, Tasik Pintar, Tasik Religius, Tasik Pelak, Tasik Melayani, Tasik Nyaman, and Tasik Resik.
